US Mint should submit some of its numismatic products directly to NGC and PCGS

The United States Mint can improve its coin products by directly submitting a small number of some of its numismatics produced for certification by NGC or PCGS, the two most respected coin certification services. This would have a number of benefits:
-If the US Mint sent the first coins made from the first dies, this would better define what "first strike" coins are as these labels are being currently made by the major third party grading services without having a true understanding of which exact coins are the first strikes. Thus there would be a better definition of first strike.
-The certified slab could be incorporated into the Original Government Packaging.
-This would take the middleman out of the equation when it comes to buying certified coins that are newly released. Now customers could purchase NGC and PCGS coins from the US Mint directly. The US Mint would also fix an issue price based on the grades assigned.
We the undersigned call on the US Mint to begin directly submitting some of its coins to NGC or PCGS, the two most respected coin grading firms.
