The Hwy 97 Task Force and Peachland Town Council support the building of a by-pass Hwy around Peachland.
The decision to do this will have far reaching negative consequences for residents, the environment and local business.
We must make our voices heard and petition the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure to move ahead with improvements to the existing Hwy rather than construct a by-pass.
Improving Hwy 97 In-Place is fiscally responsible, will preserve the natural beauty of Peachland, improve Hwy safety and support environmental sustainability and economic growth.
We support the upgrading of Highway 97 through Peachland to meet current and future transportation needs.
