The University of California, Irvine is one of the top universities in the nation, yet we have been denied a college football team. Most colleges have a football team which is an integral part to the college experience and the college social life that 99% of colleges get the opportunity to enjoy.
College football has contributed to the growth of many top universities like USC and LSU. So there is no reason to not expect a college football team to exponentially grow UCI into an even more successful university. The lack of a college football team is preventing an unprecedented expansion and prosperity that the university has yet to go through.
This petition is to encourage the development of a football program at the University of California, Irvine.
