Tynwald Mills Ice Rink should go ahead

Tynwald Mills have been refused planning permission to host the Ice Rink this year, the appeal process is ongoing but it’s not looking promising.
Last year alone 11,000 people enjoyed the use of the ice rink. Local schools were offered subsidises sessions and toddler sessions ran free of charge most mornings. On top of that the organisers have donated a whopping £25,000 to charity every year since 2015. Our Island needs businesses like this, and as a community I think we owe it to them to show our support. I don’t think we should sit back and watch it being taken away because of planning discrepancies.
