I live in Morayfield Qld and Buchanan Road which is a road that comes off the Bruce highway is a very busy road. Lots of primary and high school children cross this road and I feel that it is not safe enough for them to cross without adult supervision. I hear cars and bikes revving their engines on the approach to the highway from Buchanan Road and I think the only way to slow these vehicles down is if we have a set of traffic lights for pedestrians that cross Buchanan Road.
We need some traffic lights on Buchanan Road Morayfield Qld, just before the roundabout of Graham and Weier Roads, so that our children and general community can feel safer crossing this road on their way to primary and high school, this stretch of road is a 70km zone, so cars are already going too fast. I am asking you to sign this petition so that our children and all the people in our community can walk across this road in safety. I for one do not want to hear that a person has been struck by a car, bus, truck or bike and I think it is a matter of time before this happens, so lets prevent a road fatality now.
