On 15th May 2008 a Celtic legend died. Tommy Burns was loved by everyone at Celtic Football Club, Celtic fans as well as rival fans and the fellow professionals he worked with.

Celtic FC has confirmed they will play a friendly in May 2009 against Kilmarnock to raise money for his charity.

I don't think that is enough, I would like the Celtic legend to be recognised properly and the only way to do that is to rename either the North Stand or South Stand at Celtic Park "The Tommy Burns Stand". IF this is not possible then Celtics new Lennoxtown Training ground should be named after Tommy Burns.

Once the petition reaches 15,000 signatures I will write a letter and enclose the petition to Celtic FC in hope they do this to honour the man loved by us all.

We, the undersigned, call on Celtic FC to rename either the North or South Stand at Celtic Park (Parkhead) to "The Tommy Burns Stand" or rename Lennoxtown to "The Tommy Burns Training Ground" as a tribute to the man loved by many in the Football Community.
