The Crystal Maze was the best UK game show of the 90s, regularly attracting between 4 and 6 million viewers.
It had a set as big as two football pitches, built inside a disused aircraft hangar, and consisted of four zones - Aztec, Medieval, Ocean and Futuristic. Contestants would attempt to win a series of games - Physical, Skill, Mystery or Mental - to seize crystals, each worth five seconds each.
The series ended in 1995, and the amazing set was stored for a few years before being outrageously dismantled!
We, the undersigned, call for Channel Four/Chatsworth Television to not only bring back The Crystal Maze, (amazing show of all time) - but to RELEASE the wonderful series onto DVD.
Many thousands of people have been watching the series on Challenge TV since its demise, as well as on sites such as YouTube. Therefore, there is definitely a BIG demand for the release of the series to come onto DVD format. There is a VHS available, (Rare, from 1994) but most people do not own a VHS video player anymore.
To have such an amazing classic game show on DVD, arguably one of the UK's best ever shows before the destruction of modern television (thanks to reality TV), would be EXCELLENT and would remind people how great TV used to be.
