The Legionnaire hat protects the back of the neck and the front of the face, the Legionnaire hat provides more sun protection than the standard TVCS Bucket Hat.
The Legionnaire hats will be worn outdoors for sun protection although the students permitted may wear the hats even if it is not needed.
The students permitted will wear the hats to project a sun-safe influence and will encourage the act of sun safety to surrounding peers and students. By agreeing to this form you are encouraging sun-safety and agreeing to the use of Senior Students wearing Legionnaire hats on campus.
SUN SAFETY: The Legionnaire hat is fitted with a flap at the back of the hat for maximum neck and ear coverage from the sun which is vital for our students at recess and lunchtimes.
The Legionnaire hat is also fitted with a forward facing brim for coverage of the students’ nose, forehead and eyes.
The Students permitted may wear the hats during school hours (9:00am-3:20pm).
