The tragic and sad demise of gang raped victim in New Delhi in the recent past, has shocked the whole nation which seems to be in a state of grief.
We have seen the top politicians of the Country condoling the death as also the entire Bollywood which came on streets and some of them were literally weeping which depicts the emotions and state of their grief. The media also equally shared the sentiments and emotions of the people in general by aligning itself with the cause.
Taking the sense and mood of the nation in its true spirit, We made an appeal to all politicians, political parties, Bollywood, Media and people in general to avoid any kind of celebrations of New Year and rather light a candle in memory of the departed soul . This will be the true tribute to that "brave girl" who has been titled as "Bharat Ke Beti". In the state of mourning, the action speaks louder than the words.
Let the Country stand united at this crucial juncture where humanity has been killed in its most ugly form yet we need to maintain peace across the Country, the greatest tribute to the worthy soul.
In the wake of tragic and sad demise of "Bharat Ke Beti", the gang raped victim and with my earnest desire to pay tribute to her soul, I pledge not to celebrate New Year, this Year. Let the people of India join me in sharing the grief.
