A remastered DVD has already been made but only from the short (155 minutes) version of the movie. This movie was nominated to Oscar in The Best Foreign Language Film category in 1973.

We think that this is one of the best (Russian) movies taking place during WWII and as an Oscar nominated film deserves to be released in the highest quality available today.
