As you may know Metropolitan Transportation Authority which operates New York City Subway, buses and two commuter railroads, and 7 toll bridges and they are planning to increase their fare and toll on March 2013.

We are asking anyone who live in USA, live in New York or stay in New York to tell MTA no fare & toll hike.

This fare hike will also affect Bee-Line Buses in Westchester County and NICE Bus in Nassau County

We're residents and tourists asking the Metropolitan Transportation Authority to stop the fare and toll hike.

According to MTA, 4-option fare will help closed some budget gap.

Fare hike are stage as 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B. Option 2A and 2B is hold-the-base fare which means they will remain fare at $2.25 and express bus fare at $5.50.

Currently Pay-Per-Ride/Regular MetroCard has 7% bonus with $10 purchase. For Option 1B and 2B, bonus will be eliminated. For Proposal 2A, bonus will decrease to 5%.

Also, both Long Island Railroad and Metro-North Railroad fare will be increase up between 8.91% and 9.31% depending on ticket type and zone.

Also, for MTA Bridge & Tunnels, which operates RFK Bridge, Throgs Neck Bridge, Hugh J. Carey Tunnel (Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel), and Queens Midtown Tunnel will increase from $6.50 to $7.50 while E-Z Pass users will increase from $4.80 to 5.30

Verrazaro Narrows Bridge will increase from $13 to $15 while EZ Pass users increase from $9.60 to $10.60. For drivers with Staten Island tokens will be increase from $7.72 to $8.72, while Staten Island Redisent EZ discount will increase from $5.76 to $6.76.

Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge and Cross bay Veterans Memorial Bridge will increase from $3.25 to $3.75. Minor token will increase from $2.17 to $2.50. EZ Pass holders increase from $1.80 to $1.99. Rockaway Resident Token increase from $1.62 to $1.79. Rockaway Resident EZ Pass discount increase from $1.19 to $1.31.

Tolls for trucks, motorcycle and franchise buses will also be increased.

MTA Fare Hike will not also affect NYC Buses and subways, it will also affect bus system in Nassau County and Westchester County, which uses MTA MetroCard, along with Roosevelt Island Tramway.

We're asking MTA to stop Fare and Toll Hike.
