The government has recently classed tampons and sanitary towels as a luxury item. A period is not something a woman can help, and is a natural part of life.
Women should not have to pay excessive expenses just for basic hygienic products just to stay clean during their period. Hence the fight to get these items not to be classed as a 'luxury'.
We, the undersigned, call on the government to re-establish tampons and other female sanitary products needed in order to stay hygienic during a menstrual cycle as non luxury items.
