This past Sunday marks the beginning of playoff football. Sometimes the most exciting game play to watch, especially if your team are withing the margins of making a playoff bid.

At times, players go off the rails. As the NFL begins to make an effort to address player safety, consistency is important and bias to not be allowed. Unfortunately, it has been nearly 48 hours since Cody Wallace leaped into David Bruton, leading with his head, and no word from the NFL. This comes on the heels of Odell Beckham, who made the very similar attempt in launching himself at Josh Norman. The difference? Cody Wallace is much larger, was more direct in his hit, and has not seen any punishment yet.

For all of you who have spoken out against Odell, I do hope you support this petition. For those of you concerned about player safety, I hope you also show your support for this petition.

The unfortunate fact that we have begin noticing as fans is that the NFL is not consistent in their decision making when it comes to player punishment. I do hope they do not allow this hit to go unpunished, especially now that David is out for the season.

We, the undersigned, call on the NFL to issue a one game suspension against Cody Wallace as a result of the helmet-to-helmet penalty he incurred on Sunday December 20, 2015.

The Suspend Cody Wallace for late hit on David Bruton petition to National Football League was written by Andrew Goodwin and is in the category Sports at GoPetition.
