Thousands of Dollars are taken away from businesses and there employees in Fitzmaurice street every year due to the lack of all-day parking available.
The all-day parking is minimal and regularly occupied by "short stop" visitors such as school drop offs during the regular hours of work (8.30am-5pm).
The issue has arisen many times but yet to be resolved by our local council.
I am a full-time employee at Hunters 1866. Myself and many other staff have received multiple $101 or $179 fines for having to park our cars in the only available 2hr parking spots. It is inconvenient and sometimes impossible for us to move our cars every 2hours. I am confident that the majority of parking fines within and around Fitzmaurice street are issued to employees of the businesses within this area and disgusted that the council is willing to take hard earned money from these employees that support the growth of the businesses down and around Fitzmaurice Street.

I wIll be asking the Local Council to implement a form of all day Buisness parking permits for the full-time employees within fitzmaurice street who drive there car to work. I feel this will be easily adaptable and controllable, encuring minimal costs to the council and hopefully be an alternative to providing more parking which the council has yet to deliver.
