Support the HS Quaranteen Class of 2020

COVID-19 has shook the world as we know it. It has affected every person. Adults lost jobs, children moved to online school, and public places become desolate. One group of individuals greatly affected by this change is the high school graduating Senior class of 2020. Since school has been remote, graduations, proms, and senior trips have been canceled. Most of all, the memories these students would have made were stripped from their life. We have heard from many people (teachers, officials, and Governor Beshear) how sorry they are for us, but they will never truly understand, as they experienced the entirety of their Senior year. During this time families were given stimulus checks to help them during the economic fall, but what about the Seniors? I petition that the state of Kentucky give the high school Seniors of 2020 a scholarship for their upcoming year in college. while these memories can never be replaced, the high school Seniors deserve a scholarship to help them in the next step of their life.
