In 2002 The Dare Program was created with 6 SRO officers. Now this Program has been scaled back over the years due to difficulty with economy and unfortunately at the expense of our children. We only have now 1 shared SRO officer at our schools.
This Dare Program brings police officers into the classrooms to educate students on dangers of drugs & gang activity.
Removing SRO Officers from the schools takes away a major deterrent for drug use and makes the schools less SAFE in event of an emergency. The Police officers provide a positive influence on students.
To place on the election ballot in November of 2009 To keep the Dare Program in our East Brunswick Public Schools to protect our children.
