Support Prince George's Fusion Public Charter School

The Youth of Prince George’s County Need an Innovative New High School Option!

We, the undersigned, support the effort by Better Blended Learning for Maryland, Inc., a non-profit organization, to develop an innovative new charter high school for Prince George's County students. We call upon Prince George’s County Public Schools to approve the proposed Prince George’s Fusion Public Charter School to open in Fall 2013.

We support the mission of Prince George’s Fusion to maximize academic achievement for students in grades 9-12 throughout Prince George’s County who need an alternative to the traditional classroom.

We are inspired by the vision of Prince George’s Fusion to be the county’s first “blended learning” charter high school, bringing together caring teachers, 21st century technology, and a safe, small school environment all focused on student success. We understand that Prince George’s Fusion students will take an individualized, focused program of courses that provides what they personally need for graduation and beyond, benefitting from the attention of both face-to-face and online educators who will carefully track their progress and provide real-time feedback to students and their parents.

We concur with this school’s belief is that all students – even those who have struggled previously - can thrive through a top-quality, personalized learning program that creates real connections among students, family, teachers, and the community. We understand the urgency of integrating timeless academics with cutting-edge Information Age skills to ensure students’ success in college, career and life, as Prince George’s Fusion promises to do.
