On the 1st September 2014 the British public was sucked into accepting an EU law, which made the dog hairs in our homes laugh in the face of an oncoming Dyson. The Ecodesign of Energy Related Products Directive 2009/125/EC prohibits companies from manufacturing or importing any vacuums with motors above 1,600 watts and has been like a foot on the windpipe of our beloved Henrys. However, it gets worse! In September 2017 this restriction drops down to 900 watts. Today the UK Government set the wheels in motion to transfer all EU law into UK law, so let's seize this moment and have the dust running for the cracks in our floorboards.
We, the undersigned, call on the UK Government to abolish the Ecodesign of Energy Related Products Directive 2009/125/EC and help clean up the homes of millions. For far too long we have given in to Merkel and have been starved of the joy in creating circles of redness on the skin of loved ones. Join me and take control of your dust-iny!
