Every night i watch main stream television. The majority of people represented on TV are Caucasians. This is the case whether it is a game show or soap opera. The TV networks in 20 years have introduced a slight presence of other cultures and indigenous Australians on TV but it does not represent the presence in reality. H
How can children and adolescence feel confident about who they are and where they come from if all they see on TV are Caucasian people?
We, the undersigned, call on the television networks and producers to increase the presence of other cultures and the indigenous on television to promote a positive and normative role model for the younger generation.
This is so the younger generation can relate and aspire to be like their counter-parts on TV.
