Special consideration admission cost for the National Sept. 11th Memorial Museum for FDNY, NYPD and PAPD is $12.00. All other special consideration group members are admitted for free.
There are approximately 65,000 FDNY, NYPD and PAPD members total. There are currently over 1,300,000 active US military, not including retired military. We STRONGLY AGREE that our US military should be admitted for free. We also STRONGLY AGREE that all the other special consideration groups listed should be admitted for free... but our FDNY, NYPD and PAPD are not "special" enough????
We suggest to the National Sept. 11th Memorial and Museum Board of Trustees that the museum would take in MORE money from FDNY/NYPD/PAPD members if their admission were changed to "suggested donation" because they happen to be the most generous and selfless groups of people on the planet!
