The proposed Molonglo Rail Trail will provide a great opportunity for regional development utilising a largely forgotten asset - the Captains Flat to Bungendore rail corridor.
The Molonglo Rail Trail will not just support the communities of Captains Flat, Hoskinstown and Bungendore, but will significantly complement recreational trails in the broader region, such as the Bicentennial National Trail, Canberra's many urban trails and the proposed Monaro Rail Trail.
We, the undersigned, call on our local and state governments to support the development of the Molonglo Rail Trail as a recreational asset for all, particularly bike riders.
