Douglas Gresham is the stepson to C.S Lewis, and the last living person of any relation to Lewis. In his inspiring, beautiful, and tragic 1988 memoir Lenten Lands, he documents his childhood and young life, weaving in the fascinating convergence of C.S Lewis' and Gresham's mother's storyline with his own. He tells the tale with a masterful style, leading the readers on a spellbinding journey.
However, he stops the tale when it reaches his mid 20's or so. In the book he has later added a prologue that includes the following statements: "Much has happened in my life since I wrote this book, much has changed in both my life and my self. For details of this you will have to wait for my next autobiographical tome... someday soon I really must write another book."
And indeed, much has happened since his initial autobiography, ranging from his time as a farmer in Tasmania, to his time as a stunt pilot, fireman, actor, voice artist, film producer, being marooned on an island, his journey to faith in Christ, and so much more. He also was unable, until recently, to talk about his estranged brother David, and the strange relationship they had growing up due to David's paranoid schizophrenia.
Gresham's occupation for the lasts few decades has been preserving and promoting his step father's works, ensuring that many more generations will be able to enjoy them. However, from even this small description it is clear Gresham's life deserves to live in no one's shadow, he has quite the grand story to tell himself, a story that would greatly benefit and inspire its readers.

We, the fans of C.S Lewis' and Douglas Gresham's work, humbly request that Gresham expand his 1988 memoir Lenten Lands, or write its sequel, so as to chronicle more the entirety of his life, his adventures, and his journey to faith. We, the undersigned fans, with our signature indicate our interest to Douglas Gresham and/or Harper Collins (or whatever publisher may be concerned), in purchasing at least one copy of Douglas Gresham's biography should it be written/expanded.
