Hinton, Whitecourt and area parents have maintaned local treatment at their own General Hospitals for several years.
Most these parents elderly, some unable to work and even drive may soon be forced to travel to Edson for treatment.
These parents require this life saving treatment three times a week from a bus containing the dialysis machines that travels from Spruce Grove.
Patients treatment averages 4 hours. On top of this many will be forced to travel additional milage bearing more costs. Hardships are easy to imagine during the winter months.
