The mission of Delta YES Connections Academy (DYCA) is to provide a personalized academic program infused with entrepreneurship and community service opportunities for students of the Central Delta regardless of race, ethnic origins, national background or socioeconomic level.
Given the social and economic disadvantages that Central Delta communities face, it is imperative that students obtain the skills and desire to meet the needs of their community.
Through a unique blended virtual school model that provides high-quality web-based curriculum, highly qualified teachers, and focused face-to face interaction. DYCA will serve students “anytime, anywhere” while supporting the local school district(s) with additional teacher resources and educational offerings.
The curriculum aligns to Arkansas academic standards and combines the best in print and technology, delivered via a Learning Management System that ensures complete accountability.
The school will also provide students with all necessary technology along with community socialization activities.
Dear Arkansas State Board of Education:
We, the undersigned, strongly support Delta YES Connections Academy. We believe that a blended virtual public charter school will provide a high-quality option for students throughout the Central Delta region who need an alternative to the traditional classroom.
As parents who are interested in having this innovative blended virtual charter school available for our children and as educators interested in helping operate such a school, we urge you to approve the Delta YES Connections Academy charter application.
