For decades dog owners have been bringing their dogs to Battis Farm and Woodsom Farm for off-leash exercise and socialization.
Although there is an on-leash law throughout Amesbury, the law has not been enforced until recently.
Dog owners are now getting ticketed for off-leash dogs.

I hereby add my support to the Amesbury Dog Off-Leash/ Freedom Trail Committee’s efforts to gain off- leash exercise and socialization options for dogs and their owners in Amesbury, MA.
Specifically, I urge City Councilors, the Mayor and other city committees to modify City’s Ordinances and rules to allow dogs off-leash in specified parks/areas without unreasonable restrictions.
