Cornwall needs a decent tourist attraction which will bring money and jobs to our beleaguered County. A large Theme Park like Alton Towers would attract thrillseekers from all over the world; whilst benefiting local businesses and tradespeople enormously.
Before people start jumping up and down, the whole of Cornwall will not be turned into a theme-park, just several hundred acres of land once used for industry. The rest of the County, whilst benefiting from the increased trade, will retain its natural charm and allure for those who wish for a more tranquil life.
Jobs first; houses later.
We, the undersigned, call on Cornwall Council to grant planning permission for a theme park of International standards to be built on redundant industrial land.
