The Malaysian Islamic Organization Consultative Council (MAPIM) and Citizens International is currently launching a campaign to collect 1000 signatures from Members of Parliament of Malaysia, Assemblyman, Community Leaders, Religious Leaders, Professionals and local scholars in demanding the Nobel Prize Foundation based in Stockholm Sweden to revoke the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Aung San Suu Kyi in 1991 – with immediate effect.

Her constant denial strongly suggests that she is unremorseful to the blatant ill treatment of Myanmar's military and Buddhist extremists on the Rohingyas. Up to this day, she has not even expressed any sense of moral guilt when reports of Rohingya infants, children and women are slaughtered, raped or thrown into fire emerges in the media

To make the situation worse, she has even now accepted the created fact which suggests the Rohingya's are of Bengali nomadic tribe from Bangladesh. This is unacceptable recognition and is strongly denied by the Rohingya’s themselves. Instead, it has been anthropologically proven that the Rohingyas are the natives of Rakhine State in Myanmar.

Her stance on the Rohingyas suggests that now she is in cahoot with Ashin Wirathu, the head of a Buddhist organization recognized by the world as an extreme rightist movement in Myanmar. For the record, this group allows the murder, expulsion, and the hijacking of the Rohingya properties in villages. Ashin demands that every Buddhist deserve to safeguard their religious interests and Myanmar's from the encroachment of the Rohingyas.

Hence in this respect, we believe, whatever human rights the Rohingya are left with under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - including the right to life, the right of the law, the right of religion, the cultural rights, the political right, has now been forcefully taken away from them - literally.

MAPIM and Citizens International believe Aung San Suu Kyi has indeed betrayed the true essence of the Nobel Peace Prize. She is no more qualified to hold such recognition and therefore the Nobel Peace Prize award should be strip from her immediately.

MAPIM and Citizens International call on all parties pertinently among Malaysian public figures to jointly support the petition sponsored by our two organisation in demanding the Nobel Prize Foundation, Stockholm Sweden to execute this demand.

We are aiming for 1000 signature to be received by the end of October 2017.

Tuan Haji S.M Mohd Idris
Chairman of Citizens International

Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid
President of MAPIM.
