Lisa Marie Rogers has been charged with the theft and use of a credit card belonging to a woman who works for the county. The transaction was for $500 which was repaid to the victim before the case was filed.
The county has already wasted significant tax dollars on taking the case to trial and housing Lisa in jail for over 3 months. The first trial resulted in a hung jury because all of the so-called evidence is merely circumstantial. Now the county is refiling the case to waste more tax dollars when there are more severe crimes for the state to prosecute.
The case is ridiculous and a waste of the courts time and our tax dollars for a class D felony. This woman is a mother of 3 children and was clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. The detective on the case did not efficiently work the case which is clearly evident from the transcripts of the case.
We, the undersigned, call on the Indiana Hendricks County Prosecutors Office and Judges to dismiss the pending charges against Lisa Marie Rogers case 32D05-1206-FD-000609 and immediately cease any further use of tax dollars on this case.
