Since 2004 when there was a water shortage. The town of Berthoud Colorado has continued to raise the water rates beyond that of every city in this area. Water rates have increased by as much as 500%.
When other towns have lowered their pricing back to pre 2004 rates, the Town of Berthoud has not. Their cost of raw water is that of many other municipalities.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to Lower the water rates to the level that other cities and municipalities are charging. We are grieved that our city government has not taken into consideration the will of its people.
We petition the Town of Berthoud to Lower the water rates now!
