We, the residents and commuters of Brisbane, strongly oppose the proposed traffic light intersection at Dandenong Road, Sirocco Street, and Central Avenue. The current traffic flow is efficient, and adding this traffic light insection is unnecessary and would only serve to disrupt the smooth traffic flow that we currently enjoy.
It is important to note that there are already five intersections along Dandenong Road, and the addition of another intersection is not only redundant but could potentially lead to further congestion and delays. Our city's resources should be focused on optimizing existing infrastructure rather than introducing changes that are likely to have adverse effects on our daily lives.
We're concerned about the financial burden on residents and the potential increase in pollution from idling vehicles. Our tax dollars should be used wisely, and unnecessary construction contradicts environmental efforts.
We urge the Brisbane City Council to reconsider and halt the construction. Let's preserve smooth traffic, avoid wasteful spending, and protect our environment.
