Dear President,
We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the families and the serious conditions in which they live in the Moria refugee camp, on the Greek island of Lesvos.
The Moria refugee camp represents the failure of an overcrowded facility.
We are all human beings with dignity and rights. Wars, poverty, violence. Anyone facing such an emergency needs to be supported.
On Wednesday 9 September the flames devastated the Moria camp and aggravated the already precarious physical and psychological conditions of all the families housed in the overcrowded structure.
We ask for the relocation and immediate reception in European countries of these families deprived for years of the fundamental right to a dignified life. No human being deserves so much suffering.
