Since the Terrorist group was removed from the Jubbaland region of Somalia, the peace loving people in this region came together and created their local administration as allowed by the Somali Federal Constitution.
Unfortunately, the Somali government, whose mandate was to support these type of grass root administration turned against its own citizens and sided with tribal warlords and the terrorist group "Ashabab".
Since the week Government in Mogadishu failed its attempt to disrupt the regional conference to create the Jubbaland State of Somalia, it is now clear and unfortunate that Somali Government made an arrangement with the terrorist group Ashabab. It is troubling that the Government elements involved the fighting in Kismayo last month, including Barre Hiirale, were offered a safe heaven by Ashabab and the Government in Mogadishu is now supplying weapons and foodstuff to this warlord's militias and its host Ashabab.
We the undersigned call for the Somali Government to stop siding and supporting the terrorist group Al Shabab.
We urge the international community including the US Government, E.union, A. Union, IGAD, & the UN to carefully examine the government activities in the Jubba region and scrutinize the relationship between this unpopular government and terrorist elements in Somalia.
The international community may be wasting its resources with a Government that is committing crimes against its citizens in Jubba Region and in bed with terrorist elements in Somalia.
