At one point, Child Protective Services was a much needed department. It was created with the intent to keep our children safe from abusive and neglectful parents. Over time, it has evolved into a legal kidnapping of sorts targeting low income families.
In smaller towns, it is not uncommon for the legal system to "gang up" on these families giving them no hope of ever seeing their children again.
I am hoping to get support for this petition and present it to our politicians hoping that much needed reform will take place and those who have abused their authority will be punished accordingly.
We, the concerned citizens of the United States, call for an in-depth look into the illegal practices of misuse of authority by CPS and the family court system as well as call for in-depth investigation and legal ramifications for all who have abused this system.
