I am a mother who is fighting the Stigma of mental health. My parenting capabilities are being called into question and I have been discriminated against by my sons own paternal grandparents since my son, who is now 1, was born.My goal is to help other parents who struggle with mental illnesses, but are still capable of parenting their own children. There is no reason why, in our current society, families should be torn apart and parents left traumatized by something that they didn't CHOOSE to have.
We, the undersigned, call upon the United States Judicial Court System to stop the Mental Health Stigma and allow parents who are capable of parenting their children to do so in peace and prosperity. No home should be torn apart because of an illness that can not be helped by the person it inflicts and parenting should never be called into question when a parent shows unconditional love for a child.
