Stop the Initiative Aimed to Give Driver’s Licenses to illegal aliens in the State of New Jersey

Recently, Bill A4425 was re-introduced by Assemblywoman Annette Quijano (D-Union). The NJ Safe and Responsible Drivers Act would have granted NJ driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. New Jerseyans do NOT want this bill or ANY similar driver’s license granting bill passed. It is our right as citizens to demand that our elected officials not expose the public to additional safety risks, nor place on legal residents, an unnecessary and weightier tax burden to compensate for those who are here illegally, and who take a significant social and financial toll on our state system. The fact that NJ has some of the most heavily congested roads and highest automobile insurance premiums in the nation, there is no proper way to vet those who have no required proof of identity. We the people feel that this bill will put more people’s lives at higher safety risk for all NJ Drivers and more costly for New Jerseyans. For those in New Jersey who have worked hard at coming here legally and have obeyed the laws, deserve a system that maintains the same legal standard for all in our state. Obtaining a NJ Driver's License is a privilege for law-abiding NJ residents who meet strict NJ legal standards, including providing the capacity to be properly vetted by NJ State and US Federal Law Enforcement and other U.S. Officials. Therefore, we demand that our laws be enforced to restrict illegal aliens from obtaining NJ Driver’s licenses.
