Alfred Jones (Warrington) have put in planning permission to close our local shop, and want to build 7, 3 storey houses in 2 blocks on the land instead. The plans went online today (31/7/2014) and we have 21 days to put in an objection.
This store has been there for 19 years and is an integral part of this community.

We the undersigned, call on Warrington Borough Council Planning Committee to deny the application made by Alfred Jones (Warrington) to demolish the shop on Thelwall New Road and build 7, 3 storey houses in it's place.
The Spar shop has been here for 19 years and is an integral part of the local community. It is used daily by many local residents as well as passing trade.
Alfred Jones have already given notice to the attached hairdressers, and they have to find new premises within 7 weeks.
