The Ontario Government has provided funding for counselling for children who have witnessed violence in the home, yet our community and it's children do not have a counselling program in place.
We need to bring attention and awareness that these tax dollars are just sitting there, while our children suffer the long term effects of the abuse they witnessed.
We need to stop the cycle and help these children while they are young, so they do not carry it into adulthood.
We, the undersigned, call on all social service agencies in Grey/Bruce to take action and use the funds provided by our government to help the children of domestic violence.
We need to stop the cycle, we need counselling for our children.
