This petition is to prevent the closure of fire stations across the south yourshire and derbyshire area.
The Sheffield city council announced yet more closures of fire stations because of lack of money and resourses.
This is totally unnessary and the closure of such stations are resulting in the loss of lifes across the county.
Please sign my petition to prevent the closure of fire stations, the government should be putting more money into the fire service.
With only 4% of the council tax money going towards keeping them open is resulting in the closure of many fire stations.
Surely the fire service is as valuble as the police service which gets around 15% of tax payers money, even local parishes get more than 4%, can we really allow this to continue when there is evidence that closing these stations are resulting in the loss of lives!
