The total amount of animals tortured and killed annually in U.S. laboratories range widely - from 17 to 70 million animals. First reason, the Animal Welfare Act requires laboratories to report the number of animals used in experiments, but the Act does not cover mice, rats, and birds (used in some 80 to 90 percent of all experiments). The second reason is Because these animals are not covered by the Act, they remain uncounted and we can only guess at how many actually suffer and die each year. other animals are killed in the military by being hung upside down and shot in the back of the leg to see the effect the bullet wound has on humans even though we already know the effect.
Also animals are also killed by being tested on for cigarettes such as Salem, Joe Camel, Malboro aand other bands put gas masks on their face and make them inhale carbon monoxide, insect poisoning, rat poisonings and such
