April 8, 2019 the Stanly County School Board allowed staggered start times starting next school year just for Elementary schools. This is unacceptable, especially with the amount of parents who are against this. The SCSB took it upon themselves to make this happen without really considering the voices of parents who have children in Elementary school. This issue needs to be re-evaluated and issue statistically information of why this is helpful and how this will help children get the Education they deserve.
We, the parents who are against staggered school times, call for a stop to the starting of staggered school times. This decision was made without consideration of all possibilities and will hurt the children more than it will help them! This staggered school times will also cause safety issues for the children and cause conflicts with their out of school activities and in school activities.
