The city council of Colorado Springs has chosen to pass 3 different ordinances to prevent the operation of social clubs. They have taken it amongst themselves to illegally reclassify social clubs based on what goes on inside of them.
Social clubs were originally designed to promote like-minded conversations regarding different political views or concepts. They city council's amendments illegally outlaw the social clubs for a very specific group. There has been no proof presented by the city council for the ban, even though specific reasons were given.

We, the undersigned, call upon the city of colorado springs, to nullify the following ordinances that limit a social clubs operation:
1. An ordinance prohibiting the establishment of new marijuana consumption club facilities.
2. An Ordinance adopting Part 2 (Marijuana Consumption Clubs) of Article 2 (Marijuana) of Chapter 2 (Business Licensing, Liquor Regulation and Taxation) of the code of the City of Colorado Springs 2001, as amended, pertaining to Marijuana Consumption Club licenses.
3. An Ordinance amending Section 507 (License Fees Enumerated) of Part 5 (License Fees) of Article 1 (General Business License Provisions) of Chapter 2 (Business Licensing, Liquor Regulation and Taxation) of the Code of the City of Colorado Springs 2001, as amended, pertaining to Marijuana Consumption Club license fees.
