Stop Shark Finning and ban the sale of Shark Fin Products

Shark fining is a horrible way of animal cruelty. First, they fish the shark out in a forceful way, yanking their heavy bodies out of the ocean. Then, without killing it, they use rough knives to cut off the shark’s fins. Then they throw the rest of the LIVING shark back into the water, where it either bleeds or drowns.

Each year, more than 100,000,000 sharks are killed every year, on average. But also on average, sharks only kill 5 people a year. Elephants kill over 300 people each year, and it seems like everybody hates sharks but likes elephants.

Sharks never eat people, and there are no recorded records of sharks doing so. They bite out of curiosity, not because they are hungry.

The great white shark itself is going endangered, along with 200 other shark species. There are many people who swim with sharks, not even in a cage, but they don’t get hurt. It is actually harder to lure a shark to you than to repel it.

Sharks are going extinct. Last time I checked, the human population is going great. Sharks are not the predators. We are.
