Stop Poverty and Homelessness in Southern Maryland

Please sign this petition if you WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY BRINGING ATTENTION TO THIS CRISIS OF HOMELESSNESS.

The Income based Apartments and Housing Authority lists are years long. In all respect we dont have years to wait for affordable housing.

We appreciate the gesture but we want to be able to pay our own rent. We need homes for our families. We are asking to bring attention to this crisis. How many of you work every day, yet you can't afford A Market Value Apartment ?or Townhouse? How many of you are working two minimum wage jobs; yet you live from pillar to post? How many of you work one job full-time yet your gross bi-weekly is "LESS" than 1200? How many of you know or ARE a WORKING, TAX PAYING HOMELESS PERSON( Meaning you your name is NOT on a lease)? How many of you are renting a room? How many of you are on (Years long waiting lists) for Income Based Housing or Section 8 Housing? How many of you are parents who have custody of your child/children? How many of you make too much for Affordable Housing yet too little for Market Housing? How many of you know people as the ones I described?
