This petition has been started to protest against the new proposed parking pay and display fees to be introduced in the Sandy Lane area of Skelmersdale.
It's been proposed that West Lancashire Borough Council will be installing pay and display machines in the area for parking charges in 2013.
It's also feared that these new parking charges will also be rolled out to other parts of Skelmersdale in the future.
We also believe that car owners will start to use the smaller nearby roads to avoid paying the charges and this will cause road safety issues on other roads.

We, the undersigned, call on West Lancashire Borough Council to reconsider plans to introduce pay and display parking in Skelmersdale.
We feel the parking charges are not only unfair but pose traffic safety risks and congestion to other near by roads.
