Parking at the Connecticut Audubon center in Milford has become a joke. I've had two experiences where I could not find an open parking space due to the overwhelming majority of out of state vehicles. Residents of Connecticut pay taxes for the roads leading up to the Center. Why not charge them a fee to park like local towns do to out of state beach goers. Most of these out of state visitors are there to fish as am I.
The Connecticut Audubon society in Milford is constantly overrun by out of state vehicles. I would like to see a small booth erected at the entrance where out of state vehicles would be charged a fee to park. This would free up parking spaces for Connecticut residents and also provide much needed funds for the Audubon society. I would further encourage that a portion of the first years proceeds go to building a steel gate structure with an electronic card system. Anglers could purchase cards to further increase revenue and additional cards could be issued to Milford's emergency personnel.
