Stinson Drive is the outlet for three large neighborhoods and two townhouse communities. The intersection of Stinson and Savannah Highway is congested due to 1) the sheer number of residents and 2) the misalignment of the intersection.
Area flooding is also a concern; allowing a large multi-family housing development will negatively affected the watershed in the area.
Changing the zoning on properties in this area to allow multi-family housing will increase the amount of traffic and increase local flooding which, in turn will negatively impact the residents who already live in the area.
We, the undersigned, request the City of Charleston Zoning Board to NOT change the zoning on Stinson Drive to include large multi-family residences.
