MTAS wrote a letter to our Premier Scott Moe in an attempt to remove the requirement for massage therapist to wear PPE while treating patients. The law of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan health authority have both indicated that PPE is a requirement due to the fact that we cannot properly social distance from our clients do to covid-19. MTAS did not consult any of our members, who they are supposed to represent, and took it upon themselves to send this letter to Premier Scott mode and dr. Shahab to remove PPE as previously indicated. I greatly opposed this due to the fact that it could compromise the health of us as therapists, our clients, our family, and the public.
as a good standing member of MTAS for nearly 13 years I greatly opposed this letter and ask that the public support us in preventing this letter from reaching Scott Moe.
I asked that everybody sign this petition in support of registered massage therapists to have the right to wear PPE and oppose the letter that was sent to Premier Scott Moe in an attempt to remove PPE as part of our daily routines. it has been indicated by the Saskatchewan health authority to massage therapist that we are required to wear PPE as we cannot properly social distance and that puts everybody at risk for the possible spread of covid-19. please sign this petition as we greatly opposed this and we are hoping for your support and preventing and Taz from removing the requirement of PPE in treatments.
I am a member of MTAS and have been in good standing for 13 years and I greatly oppose the removal of PPE.
