I have lived on Jordanray for over ten years. If you are like me you are fed up with the number of drivers who speed down our street with no regard to the safety of our family or pets. So far two dogs were killed because of speeding drivers and thankfully no children have been hurt. Yet.
This has to STOP! I am asking you to sign this petition to send to the Town of Newmarket to implement traffic calming measures and/or speed humps. We don't even have a speed sign on our street!
With the VIVA construction starting on Yonge Street this will only get worse. Sign this petition and I will present it to Newmarket Town Council to demand they end this reckless behaviour.
As a resident of Newmarket living on Jordanray Boulevard I, the undersigned, ask the Town of Newmarket to recognise and take the necessary measures to end the reckless drivers who speed down our street before a child gets hurt. Or worse, killed.
We ask that you install traffic calming measures to slow traffic down on Jordanray and enforce the Motor Vehicle Act effective immediately.
