Home owners who have home mortgage loans and pay interest on it are able to deduct their interest payments from their income to get a tax break. Federal government pays a part of the interest on behalf of the tax payers. In other words every tax payer pays mortgage interest regardless of whether or not they have a mortgage, even if they don't own a home and even if their home is completely paid off.
We, the undersigned, call on US president and US congress to eliminate tax deductions on all interest payments including home mortgage interest.
