District of North Vancouver is planning to build a Recovery House for Men with Substance Abuse on Windridge Drive in Seymour. The clients will have drug and alcohol addictions.

The residents, neighbors and community of Seymour are opposed to the site chosen for this project. The proposed site is adjacent to 51 units of town houses with young family with small children. There is Kiwanis Care Center for seniors just behind the proposed site. The site is right on Mt. Seymour Parkway. The site is in a high density residential neighborhood. There is a daycare operating on the street. The traffic has always been an issue on Windridge Drive.

We just think the clients will be more comfortable in a calm, tranquil neighborhood surrounded with nature. We are proposing to District to build the house on East side of Old Dallarton Hwy. Where District has acres of land surrounded with nature at the same time close to bus stop, shopping and all the amenities. Please support us in our cause.

We, the undersigned, are asking District of North Vancouver, Councilor Mackay-Dunn and Mayor Richard Walton to put stop on this project being built in the Seymour Community.

The Stop District Building a Recovery House for Men With Substance Abuse in Seymour petition to District of North Vancouver, Councilor Mackay-Dunn's, Mayor Richard Walton was written by Parissa Nikbin and is in the category City & Town Planning at GoPetition.
